The finish of the FI hood is good except for the little dimple in their mold. The fit of that hood sucks though. I don't know about the VIS hood.

havent seen the VIS hood for the Max yet. Fiber images hood is a nice hood but has some problem defects and a few members have had probs with it flipping up, if you get hood pins that shouldnt be a prob. Their customer service was VERY rude to me...dunno if they are like that to everyone.

oh for the brand name?

VIS is generally crap FI has a mixed bag- alot of people complain I mean ALOT of people (no not only me or the Maxima people) but they do have a high profile alot of show cars feature their hoods- I really think there arebetter brands out there than VIS or FI...

I too hagve always considered VIS to be el cheapo crap. FI is like carnal said, capable of making good product and capable of failing to make decent product.

you can wait and see if GTP comes out with a hood. they picked up a hood to use as a mood from my dealership. but my parts guy says they are kind of shaddy so i don't know.

97maxgirl i think is her sn is doing a group buy on cf hoods i think made in taiwan. if it is anything like a integra hood i seen that came from taiwan then it sould be good quality. the integra hood was solid tight weave(small cf square pattern very sturdy frame and the cf sheets wrap around to the under side of the hood(tappered) the guy with the hood said there are only a couple companies doing hoods out there. im not to sure how true he is about that but we can wait and see.

Malik go look around taiwan to find molders if your still there ofcourse.
