Carbon Fiber License Plate Frame - PHOTO
I am trying to find a good looking license plate frame for the 2k1AE and want one without any brand or cute sayings on it. A body colored one would be great but a lot of work. I thought that a carbon fiber or at least a carbon fiber look frame would go well with the carbon fiber look of the 2000 and 2001 SE tail lights. I found this one but it was kind of pricey at about $40 and wanted to see if anyone had seen a cheaper or better one.
You could always paint a cheap-o one to something close to your body color and see how that would look. All you would be out is the 5 bucks for the paint and you may even like it! Just my two cents.
Y2KSESteve, you and my wife must think alike because she looked at me like I was a fool when I mentioned the $40 carbon fiber license plate frame. I made a stop by Pep Boys and bought a $4 frame and a $3 can of plasti-kote car color metallic grey spray paint. So for $7 and an hour of fun in the sun here is what I ended up with.

Not to bad if I do say so myself. More photos of it on my homepage.
