Sweet Battle...too bad I couldn't finish it...
Hell yeah this was so cool. On my way back home from work. I usually
jet down 196th ST. S.W. in Lynnwod, which is almost a straight shot
from my work to my house. Well getting close to my house 196 takes a
dip down and goes back up. It's a moderate incline, which is good
enough to weed out the lower powered cars if your trying to beat
someone to the top to merge in when the road turns into 2 lane road.
Well, there is a light at the bottom of the dip. Anyway, I get to
this light, I'm behind a decked out mid 90's jetta vr6, which gots
the exhaust, intake, body kit, etc. In front of him is a early 90's
integra which was also decked out. Then beside them, there was a
early 90's ford bronco II, and behind him a 85ish Toyota Supra, both
of them are stock. Everyone is waiting for the light, and get this,
the bronco is revving his engine, so everyone else starts doing it
including me. Light turns green and the whole back start speeding,
but before everyone in my lane gets going a ford taurus turns in
ahead of us, but he see's the bronco and begin to challenge the
bronco. basically I got into the other lane and creamed the VR6, but
part of the reason was the other integra in front of him has to get
around held back by the taurus. The taurus get ahead of the bronco,
and the integra gets moving and so does the VR6. So I move into the
center turn lane (don't do this at home kids) and pass the supra.
The guy in the supra tried to outrun me, but he couldn't and I
basically start passing the pact. We were just about the top of the
hill and almost at 75. I had to slow down, because I had to turn at
the light at the top of the hill to go home. but from glancing over,
the integra you can here was going full boar and I was roasting him.
I would of overtaken the pact if I didn't have to turn off. That
kicked ***, and the good part was it was just after 10pm tonight, so
no one else was on the road. For sure if I didn't turn off, I would
of beaten the taurus, the bronco, the supra, and the integra. The
VR6 I would need to work against, since he had a performance setup
and I didn't. He had a slight edge with his mods over my stock set
up, but it wasn't much because he saw me go for a pass and tried to
pass me, while I was still running 5k in second, once I hit 3rd he
started to loose on me. **** that was lots of fun. It had been
awhile since I've really open up the throttle on my car. Now when
ever I get the money, the first thing I will invest in is my
suspension. I got power for now just to fend off the little guys,
but I need the handling to complement the power or else it won't
matter. What you guys think? Not bad for an 86 SE huh?
