Fuel injector preservation

Are there any maintenance practices or driving behaviors that are known to prolong the life of your fuel injectors? I've heard that the injectors in the VE motor generally conk out by 150k, and I'm at 110 trying to keep them healthy.

alot of people on the board like techron fuel injector cleaner. I used it but only because my car was missing and then it went away. I umplugged the #6 ingnition coil and it did not change the idle at all. then that problem went away so i have put in techron twice. it seems to have worked so far.

Here's some links on Techron:

They carry it at most Amoco gas stations, Target, Checker, etc.

I run a 20oz. bottle of the Fuel System Cleaner about every 5K miles.

if you are really serious, you can have them ultrasonically cleaned by RC Engineering....that should help prevent future clogging.
