hey guys i am kinda confussed on this one...

i was searching around on past org members probs on this, but nothing really kinda relates to what is wrong with his car... 0401 code is Intake Air Temp Sensor. it is rather odd. this happened right after we installed an intake on his car. i feel bad because i talked him into modding, and now he has this bright yellow check engine light on his new car. i told him i'd look at it for him. so i did, i made sure everything was hooked up properly, and then i finaly reset the ecu. it worked for a second, and then the light came right back on. so i reset it again, and again, and it still came back on. so now both he and i are discouraged. what should i do? does anyone have any comments or have the same problem? thanks for all your help in advance.

if the car is a 95 or 96 there is a air intake temperature sensor that was IN the stock airbox. What you have to do is somehow get the air intake sensor somewhere near the cone filter

what i did was i took a zip-tie and put the temp sensor in one of the "valley's" on the cone and then put the zip tie around it .... andi haven't pulled a code since

that is wierd..when i installed my intake on my 99 i didnt even have to touch the sensor. but then i took it out and zip tied it by the filter to see if it would make any kind of difference...Maybe your temp sensor really is bad?

I just put an intake in my car a few days ago and I too pulled the Intake temp sensor code. I reset the ECU and it went away then came back. I reset it again and it went away and has stayed away now for a day. Knock on wood.

Knock on wood didn't work, I've been getting the code over and over now. Where is the Intake temp sensor located? I'm not quite sure what it even is. Thanks.
