Slow Fuel Gauge

When I fill my gas tank, whether I put a 1/4 in, or fill it full, the needle takes FOREVER to move. Eventually, after about 2 minutes, if I filled the tank full, it gets to the top. On my buddy's '97, it gets up there in about 10 seconds. What could be causing this?

Thats normal. Keeps your gauge steady as the gas moves around in your tank. Otherwise the needle would be constantly moving about as you drive. Mine takes a good minute or two to reach the full level after I refuel.
