Whats up everyone! i did a search to try to find a write up on how to upgrade my brakes with 300zx brakes but i was unsucessful. So i was wondering if someone could help by giving me a website or by explaining it. I have a 91 se and need to replace my right front caliper. Since i have to change it i would like to just upgrade. i need to know what i need to buy in this case. ex. rotors, brackets etc... what exactly is needed and how do i do it....Thanx!

Do a search on the main forum and other forums about it. 4th gens have the EXACT same brakes as 3rd gens, so everything will be the same, letter for letter, part for part.

the only benefit is that we don't have to trim our control arm like the 4th gen guys do. ours already fits.

you are going to have to use z32 tt rotors, are rotors are too thin. If you dont mind getting brackets made, try going with vr4 rotors. I used the z32 rotors before, and switched to 12.5" vr4 rotors and noticed a big diff.
you might also wanted to check your rims to make sure you have clearance (offset)for the brakes, I had to use spacers with my old 18" rims, and when ever I would take a hard corner the caliper would lightly hit the spoke.

Also www.maximadriver.com has a how2 section and it explainse the process of installing the 300zx brakes on a maxima. Like matt93se said, the 4th gen has the same brakes as we do! But i have a question about the brake lines. If i want to upgrade the lines to braided lines do i get maxima braided lines or 300zx brake lines?

Interesting, i didn't know that, so this means we could just get a big brake upgade then right, hmmm, might be good to keep an eye on their group deals from now on!

those 300ZX brakes won't fit with stock rims right? don't the rims have to be at least 16" ? just curious.
