Well Im Maxless again and I need some help before I buy another one.

Finally got the car sold. Anyone who has followed my last couple of threads knows that I had a 89 GXE that because of the fuel filler recall had my trunk and drivers side wheel well almost completely rusted out. I sold the car to a friend of mine who dosent want to drive his car in the winter and was just looking for a put-put to drive around so I sold him mine. I am now in the process of looking for another 3rd gen Max I had a 91SE before I bought that last peice of... well you know what I mean. So I will definitely look for a SE again probaly a 92-94 My only question is and I know it might sound like a newbie or dumb question but I never had to worry about it What the hell is the VTC problem that everyone talks about. I searched so dont say that to me like im a child but in all of those threads people either talk about how to ground them or how annoying the ticking is. So my questions are What are the VTC why do they tick can them ticking harm your car and when is the ticking heard during driving or after you cut the car off. Any and all help will be appreciated guys thanks.and if you feel as though you want to be an azzhole and try to flame someone to make yourself feel big then dont even respond. Thanks to all the people that will be helpful in advance.
