Grinding noise when starting Max

When i start the car it makes a loud grinding noise almost everytime when the engine is cold. Could it be my timing chain? As well sometimes when i start the car my idle is above 3k RPM. What could be the cause and solution of my problems?

I got the same issue as well. I tried to take the starter or starter celenoid (spelling?)off the car but could not. I think I just may get a whole new starter.....but in the meantime....its fugly.
