Looks very nice Law, but I'm curious as to why you didn't paint the spark-plug cover red? It looks a little strange since nothing else in the bay is that color, but that's nothing that can't be changed that the rest of that bottle of spraypaint I suppose.

Very unique, very sweet.

Thanks, It used to be red then I shaved the cover and it went from silver to wrinkle coat silver, silver again, black wrinkle coat, silver again and now gunmetal. Yea im crazy like that.

Orininally I wanted to paint it silver to match the VI cover but I can never find a good silver to match so I just went ahead and made it gunmetal. Ill probably repaint it to another silver once I get my VI on

Is the spark plug cover hard to take off? I honestly have never changed the plugs on this car so I dont know. How many coats would I have to use?
Thanks,
Dan

does it have to be engine paint, they do not have that many choices of colors for engine paint, will a regular spray can do , or will it not work from the heat of the engine, i seen some really nice metallic blue paint but its not for an engine

As long as its hi-temperature paint. The reason that I had to repaint my cover many times is because the paint I used didnt hold too well to heat and the paint started to get soft after driving so just make shure when your buying paint that it says it resists high temperatures. The brand that I use is Dupli-Color since they make some paints that can resist 500-1200 degrees. Same paint I and many others use to paaint our brake calipers with also.
