im just curious what made u do this? How many miles did the other engine have on it? What kind of problems were you having?

I have 140K on the original motor, without problems. I'm building a turbo motor, that's why I'm doing this...

I don't think I'm going to get a kit, just put it together custom. I have a friend who has done many of his own, with great success, so he will be helping.

Man, all these boosted or soon to be boosted CO Max's.......wish I could but Im waiting till get this car pretty much paid for then Ill do it. Cant wait to see that thing done, it was fast before, and now.....well, damn man!!!

Go 5spd conversion while your at it 5spd is MUCHHHHHH faster, and more fun!

I didnt lose a finger or anything, but sliced it open to where I had to get a ride to the ER in that nice car there being rebuilt, lol. Then 6 stitches and a concusion possibly from passing out......its all I hear anymore, lol.

Finger is fine, and I even got feeling back in the sliced open part, haha.

Nice pictures

Thanks for posting the pics. I did not know that these engines use a split rod journal. I also did not know that they use a main bearing support girdle. ( Sort of like the Ford 5.0's) Anyway good luck with the rebuild.
