Dash Kit Removal?

Anyone ever try removing one of those dash trim kits? I bought the car with it installed. Can it be removed and back to stock or will the original dash be trashed underneath?

You should be able to remove it, you will need a heat gun or something, and just blow it on the different pieces for a bit before you peel it off, I would go easy on that part of it. Once its off you are probably going to want to clean the stock dash a good amount possibly get some goo gone or something just in case.

No...it's impossible to get it off without ruin it. Even Jesse James can't do this one. Best bet is to trade the pieces.

I took mine off with some hot air and some goo gone.

Looks nice over all and can hardly notice that a dash kit was ever on.

Just wait till summer and pick a really hot day and then get a heat gun for added heat and slowly peel away.

I ended up peeling it away, then kept it plain for a couple of months then went to an aluminum dash kit.
