just wondering when u guys install your koni struts when u are tighting the top nut and the metal bar spins so u have to use vise grips to hold the bar what can i use instead of vise? it scratch it up bad. and if u use vise grip and scratch up the strut do u void the warrenty?

 

When I recently installed KYB's: I put them in a vise protected by a piece of conveyor belting I had around and didn't scratch the strut. The top nut should not be torqued to spec until the install is completed with the front tires in unladden position.
