Even though they may have a gun or something, I don't think I could sit there and watch and just call 911. I would risk my life for my car and to get those bastards.

I think paying $2000 to get the car repaired is better then getting killed trying to prevent your car from being violated.

You would risk your life for a bunch of sheetmetal? That's pretty sad, man. I'm sure your family and friends would really appreciate that. Hell, just set off your alarm and watch the bastard run off. I hope to God you don't have any children.

I'd call 911 on cell phone. Watch till they started to leave, get in max and follow while directing police to the location.

Wtf is up with you? The main thing you talk about is hids being stolen, how they are stolen, where they are stolen, what you would do if they were stolen..etc...... you were selling some "used" hids at one point as well weren't you? You were dealing with that Camelion (SP?) guy as well if your not affiliated with him somehow. Enough about it already dude! Drop it!

Assuming they didn't run off when the light came on, or after yelling, I'd call 911 on my cell phone, then when they left get in the car, and follow them, trying to direct the police to them.

Well I really probably wouldn't risk my life for the car, but I wouldn't just stand there and watch it unfold.

nobody has any idea what s/he would do. I always said I'd call the police or grab a camera and start snapping pictures or something... well, a friend was dropping me off at home and he noticed my dome light was on. Neither of us saw the pair of legs sticking out the passenger door until his head popped up in the car.

As soon as I saw the guy in my car I started running and almost got him. His car was parked further down the street and he got in his car and locked the door just as I got to it. I found a rock on the ground and slammed it against his window and I started running next to the car as he sped up... I don't know what I would have done if I could have opened his door, but I was shocked I did any of that. It's completely against my nature to be violent or aggressive, but for some reason when I saw he was "taking my stuff"... well, I was glad then and now that I didn't get his door open as he was driving off.

So, if you think you know what you're going to do in a situation involving adrenaline, YOU'RE WRONG!

It is a scary situation but if you call 911, everything will be gone. They can jack everything that quick. You can't just sit there and watch I wouldn't think.

Dude drop it already!

You talk mainly about stuff being jacked. A couple of other posts but most are about stuff being stolen and HID related issues. Where did you buy your HIDS from? A "dealer" right?

First thing...make sure what your local or state laws allow a person to do to protect themselves and property.

For instance (God love TX!) here you can shoot upon and use deadly force to protect not only yourself, but also your personal property. Just make sure you understand that for vehicles, it needs to be in/on your property (real estate), not in an apartment complex, etc. which is considered public property. The underlying philosophy is to protect the homestead, which is why you can't just blow away someone at say a mall, etc.

I am not advocating anything, just stressing the need to understand what you can do WITHOUT getting into a heap of trouble yourself, if not from the perp, than the law (which would truly suck).

I can afford a $20,000 car yet you accuse me of stealing headlights? Think before you speak you moron.

first, the statement "Even though they may have a gun or something" is the dumbest thing I've ever read. If you see a gun/knife/club/etc, RUN! It's a freakin' car, man, not worth dying for.

second, what I did scared me. I had no idea I'd do something like that. I've never been in a fight in my life so I don't know what made me go after him.

To make a long story short, call the cops, grab a cam-corder and try to get faces/license plates, and stop being a tough-guy-***.

You can just blow away a guy messing with your car in Texas if it is in your driveway?

You have no idea what you're talking about. I have a friend that gets the lights from Nissan at wholesale who works at a middleman car company who gets cars from rent a car agencies and sells them. They can get anything wholesale from any car maker. Of course you didn't know that because you think you know what you're talking about. Every set I sold was brand new and the person loved them after they got them.

There are varying contributing factors, obviously, like at night, closeness to the house (I mean like in the drive right by the garage, or at the end of the drive near the street, etc., but in essence, that is pretty much the way the law is interpreted. Some situations will result in more investigation than others.

Ya, I don't think you can blow them away if they are messing with stuff but they have to do something that makes you think you were in danger of your own safety.

in NH the intruder has to fall inside your house. If he's messing with anything outside he's "safe" because you'd have to go out to hurt him. If he attempts to come in, make sure his heels are across the threshold then WHACK AWAY.

In Mass, though, he has to pose an immediate danger to you. So an intruder can be downstairs and if you're upstairs, you legally can't go downstairs to 'get' him. There have been a few cases in the news about someone in Mass going downstairs to stop an intruder and the intruder suing the homeowner for injuries in an fight.

In Maine (I have family in all 3 states)... well, just don't try this crap in Maine. All trucks have guns and most everyone over 9 can shoot pretty well.

again, do what's safest. And a running joke in NH... dead people can't testify and make sure you *lift* the body into your house so the drag marks don't show.

All you talk about is stolen hids mainly and other jacked up stuff. One post about the accord. And how you had an "extra set of hids for sale for a friend" for ~$600

Your full of ****! That is straight up BS! How many sets have you sold so far?? Wholesale?? Ya they get them cheaper than Nissan Dealers do?

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....bornmax+stolen

You said yourself you found a "company" that would sell them to you for $595.00US for the pair. But you never share that info with anyone.

LOL. Duh. That is the company I am talking about. I will even give you a name of the company if you are so nosy.(Which that is obvious)They get them wholesale FROM NISSAN or any other car parts from car dealerships(Honda, Toyota, etc)....... How hard is that to concept? I also can easily supply emails of people I sold lights to if it is that big of deal. I ask about the thefts because I am interested in it. I don't want my lights getting ripped. I never heard of them anywhere around my area in Florida.

Waiting for you to post the full contact details of this "company" that sells 2k2/2k3 HIDS in pairs for ~$600? Please post that info up now.

Please post that info. I call BS on it already!

You either steal the lights yourself and sell them or you buy them from a person(s) who steals them for you. Ya all the ones you sold came in NISSAN OEM boxes straight out of Japan too right? Don't play like you don't know either. Getting tired of your weak *** game! Hustla wannabe!

Can you honestly read? I don't get them from the COMPANY. I get them from Nissan!!!!!!! This company I am talking about buys cars from rent a car agencies and sells them at auctions. Cars that have problems get fixed but they obviously have to get the parts from the dealerships when they work on them. They get the parts at wholesale from any dealership. They have nothing to do with 2k2/3 headlights. They don't sell them. I just have a friend that works there that can get some sets wholesale because Nissan thinks they need them for Maxima's that they got from the rental car agencies to fix so they can sell at the auctions. I don't feel like blabbing the name out but if you really want to know, I will be more than happy to PM it to you. You are badly mistaken. Don't stolen headlights have damage? Every headlight I have is brand new, and I have pictures to show.

Hustla wannabe? LOL. That's funny. You have no idea what you're talking about. I have nothing to do with stolen anything. Why would I have a $20,000 plus car and steal lil headlights? Your claim is ludicrous.

Besides, I don't have to prove anything to you. I have already explained myself, and that is that.

Not positive, but I think jjs is right (this is Texas, after all ). But, even though I own a .45 and would absolutely use it to protect myself or my family, not sure I'd blow someone away who was trying to steal my lights or car.

Still though, as someone said above, you never know how you'll react; no matter what you think you would / should / can do, it's different under stress.

Typical answer! Just as I expected. Dude just drop the BS already. One second you will post the info. Next you will PM. You never PM anyone the info because it doesn't exisit. Your little jacked HID selling business is weak!

What info. are you talking about? The company has nothing to do with the lights and I have said that numerous times. They fix up rental cars and sell them but can get whole sale part from any dealership. That is all they do, period. Only if my "business" actually exsisted. Tell me the last time I tried to sell anything on this site and how many times? Thats what I thought. I was trying to be nice and sell them cheaper to a few members. No big deal. Quit trying to do your little "investigation" because it is going no where and will never go anywhere because I would never even think about doing that.

Ya probably because they are mostly losers who couldn't even afford a gun, but maybe a knife or something.

Knives don't scare me...and the chances of that are 1%. These are kids stealing these things, and they only cary the tools they need to jack your car...if confronted they run. That's what the dog is for...to bite em in the ***! haha. Most likely though, you never see em...cause they're damn good.
