Welcome the latest member to the 5th gen forum

Me! Yes, I've finally broken away from the kiddie table. Last night I signed for my new 2K3 Titanium Edition SE. Sterling mist on Charcoal/black leather. Kevin and Tony C are my heroes, hence the color combination. Totally loaded except for nav. 6 speed and HLSD. It needs a sunroof deflector yet. More goodies than I know what to do with compared to my 3rd gen. Picking it up on Saturday. Now I just have to learn how to drive it.

This one's not going to get anything major for a while. But, once it starts you just never know.

Welcome to the org and congrats on the ride selection, don't be too alarmed that you don't receive a warm welcome from everyone. It's just the way a Noob is treated around here.

You gotta like come in with a dynamite car and some real knowledge and racing experience to get in with what I call the general's around here (emax and a few others) hahaha

Anyway from one Noob to another, welcome to the org and I look forward to seeing if you learn how to drive that car soon. I'm autotragic, so I don't have to worry about that.

I'm only a Noob on the 5th gen forum. Been on the org for a couple years now. This is actually my 3rd Maxima: '87, '94 and now 2K3. Have you seen my 3rd gen?

Yes it is, with HLSD. The little bit I've ever got to drive a manual will make it interresting getting it home. It's a 35min drive from my dealer. I'll be out in the parking lot where I work on Sunday praticing!

Actually Jeff and I were talking about going to the Harrisburg auto show next Saturday. If you don't have to work and if the weather is nice enough....
But don't mention this possibility to him. You know how he gets.

Manual driving 101

Brian the trick to driving the manual is shifting. So what you do is rev it until its stops(will start bouncing off rev limiter) dump the clutch in first, it will leave black strips for a nice long while, when it stops spinning that is a sign to change to second, then after it stops spinning in second change to third, it may leave some marks, probably not but it might. By now it should be nice and warmed up and ready to shift to 4th. You will be approaching 100 by now so look out for cops.

Congrats on the purchase and I am sure it will be just as nice as your 94.
later,
Bill Lumberg.....

Tell me about it. Been wanting one for how long?
You knew it was coming, but I meant the possibility of using it to pick you up to go to the auto show if the weather is decent.
