V6 Camaro and V6 Mustang bite the dust...

V6 Camaro
I was on my way home from school about 2:30ish earlier today and i pulled up behind a blue camaro...it had the Z28 exhaust (dual flat tips) but no z28 emblems or anything...and it sounded like **** so i knew it was a V6...anyway...he had his window down so i got up beside him and gunned it just enough to make the car jump ahead a little. I immediately slowed down to let him get back up beside me...only instead of pulling up beside me he tries to do a little fly by, well i punch it and steady leave his *** in the dust...easy kill. i think i ****ed him off seeing as he got even when he was trying to zoom past me. I was watchin him in my rear view just to see if he would come back for more or what...well he slams on brakes and pulls a U-turn in the middle of the 4 lane. so im pretty certain i ****ed him off. I hate that little fly by **** some peeps try to pull...i think they do that just so they can go back and tell everybody they beat you or somethin...

V6 Mustang
This was earlier last week...So me and my girlfriend are driving back to her house after i went to buy books for all my friggin classes this semester anyway...i came up on a green mustang with tinted windows and dual exhaust. i wasnt even planning on racing but when i went to pass him i looked over and he starts making his car jump like he wants to run...so i look back him and we both go hammer down, and well ill make it short, he got too. he didnt give up tho...he kept comin back for more and kept losin...do they ever learn???

The guy in the camaro wasnt trying?? It was a V6...with the Z28 dual exhaust, not an actual Z28. I do think they are quicker than a V6 Mustang tho, now theres a slow car. I destroyed a 3.8L V6 5 speed Mustang w/K&N and dual exhaust at the track in Fayetville, NC a loooong time ago. Ive got the time slip to prove it even if i had a pretty ****ty run on worn out tires and didnt torque break at all. what kind of exhaust do you have? i noticed u posted a reply to my other thread about adding 3 inch tips to the stock muffler...
Nice kills. I wish you had some video of it.
i wish i had a way to make some vids

I believe pre-1995 Fbodies had 3.4 L V6s with around 160 hp...those things were dogs...after that they got 200 with 225 lb ft tq. This would put up a pretty good fight against your auto Max IMO. I believe they get around mid 7 sec 0-60 and 1/4 times in the 15s, pretty much the same as an auto 5th gen. So you probably raced one with a 3.4. Good kill nonetheless...

Also wouldnt the exhaust be quiet if it were using a Z28 exhaust? I doubt it woulda been ricey sounding..

True, it wouldn't have the raspy/blatty 4-cylinder sound, but it wouldn't have the deep rumble of a V8 with traditional duals either. 6's give off a smoother snarl that's higher-pitched than most 8-cylinder exhaust systems. It's mostly a function of how all the individual primary pipes come together, firing order-wise. You can make it loud, but it will always be identifiable as a 6.
