when I installed tint on a couple of my cars I used baby shampoo. It works great.

i dont have any of that, do you think dial soap will work too? i know you had to get the window completely wet, how easily was the film to be shifted around once its on, and was it easy to get all the bubbles out?

I really dont think dial soap will work but I dont know that much about it. The film will move around easy until you start to squeegy (sp) the water out from under it and at that point it will stick.

Tell you what the best thing for you to do is go to Wal Mart and buy the install kit they sell...it shouldnt be much and comes with a squeegy (again sp) and the solution to install it with. Get a small spray bottle and your set.

It really isnt hard...the hardest part is getting the door panel off (not required but I recomend) and cutting the tint...those things arent hard at all so that tells you how easy it is.

as with anything you should be fine if you take your time and do follow directions on the tint.

I dont think it will ruin it except it may not slide around easy. I am not an expert at tint because I have only done it a couple time to my Jeep (had to take it off for inspection and put it back on). I cant tell you different stuff to use or do I am just telling you what I did and it worked for me.

Good luck but I would pay a couple dolars and buy the kit from Wal Mart...heck it may even have its own spray bottle (I think it does). It should be less than $5.

OK so here is the deal...like I said I am not an expert on tinting. I just know I was talking to a friend of mine that does tinting and he said he uses baby shampoo...the reason is that it is very mild and doesnt leave a residue.

I dont understand why you will not listen to me and see about the install kit I keep telling you about. Wouldnt you rather use the correct stuff and do it right the first time than mess it up and have to buy more tint and then the correct stuff to install it with.

I am not flaming I am serious. I mean if the kit is expensive then dont bother with it just get some baby shampoo (a small travel bottle is probably less than a dollar-mix a small amount with water in a bottle) and some bondo spreaders (pink looking plastic things that you put bondo on with...use as the squeegy) and razors from autozone for a couple dollars. That is what I did and it worked great.

I cant offer you any more advice because I have told you all I know...maybe some of the other members can come up with something even cheaper...I am assuming thats the problem since you dont want to buy the kit.
