2K auto tranny going to get a check up, quick ??

My Max is going to the dealer next week to have the tranny checked out to make sure it is 100% working correctly. I saw the TSB on the selinoid causing the tranny to shift harder at colder temps. I then called 1-800-Nissan1 to make sure it was done and of course it was never done. So my question is, even though my car may not or may barely show these symptoms, will they fix it for me under warranty with no questions asked or will they give me a hard time about doing it? My car has 42K miles on it. Thanks for the info!

You have a 5/60 powertrain so should be covered. Mine was covered at 40k then at 50k now I have 67k but a free 100k warranty for the hassle.

By the way I am on my 3rd tranny if you didn't catch that.

WOW, three trannys. All the reviews I've read about the Max were very positive about reliability, and no mention about these tranny problems. Are you typically hard on it?? Thanks for the info BTW

I am also taking in my 02 Max for tranny issues tonight. Awhile ago, it was slipping in 1-2 from time to time, but I haven't noticed it lately. Could it have just been some fluke, or should I have it looked at. Does this mean the tranny is going? I have no mods and do not drive it hard. Its an automagic also. Is it one of those things that they have to reproduce? Also, I seem to be getting worse gas mileage in the winter, is it even worth telling them that? My car has 31,000 on it.

Car goes in tonight, so any info would be helpful.
