hey guys, what you all think of this, is 135 beans for a red top optima /installed a good deal or what? let me know.....i live in nyc

 

I don't know if that is a good price for that particular battery, but they shouldn't charge you for install. It takes 2 minutes.

 

Sometimes the install includes testing the charging system. It makes no use to replace the battery if the charging system is the cause of the failing battery.

But if it's removing the old battery and putting in the new one, you can do that yourself. I did that. Takes less than five minutes.

 

I got the red top battery + install for around that price. I think the installer said that there was battery fluid all over the base of the battery. That's why they cleaned it out etc etc. Plus I notice you live in NYC. cost of living is higher out there..

 

My local auto shop selling them for 109 + tax. So it's around 118. Installing battery is the easiest thing you can do. I'm sure you can find lower price then that. But 135 is not that high price after all.

 

What is the difference in the yellow and red tops. Also which one wuold be better for a car w/audio.

 

The yellow would be better for audio. I don't remember the exact difference between the red and the yellow? Does anyone?
