I'm looking for a 95-96 se max I want a 5spd but I'm having trouble finding any. So I've started thinking about an automatic. What I was wondering is if I get the vb mod could I keep up with a 5spd max. I do want to put a supercharger on the car. Will the supercharger do ok with an auto.

Y-pipe, intake, cat back, and stall converter, maybe not even need the vb mod, this setup should be good for a 15.2w/o the vb mod,so yeah, it'll keep up w/a stock 5spd, tranny may not last as long w/ a s/c, but rebuild it with qualty parts and see what happens.

If you have an auto, a vb mod would help a lot. Since you are still looking, my suggestion is to keep on looking until you find a 5spd. one. Just don't rush the search, when you find, and get the 5spd. one, you won't be disappointed.

Max 99- The VB upgrade is for autos only. With the VB upgrade, your trans shifts a lot faster and firmer (Eliminating the weak point in auto trans) and makes the trans last longer, handle more power, but it runs hotter. That is why you would get a trans cooler too. The VB upgrade can also take up to 6/10 of a sec off your q-mile.

Infiniti- If you really want 5 speed then wait. If your spending all this money, get something you will be happy with. Also look at what fits your need better, stick or auto? A stock auto trans will hold the S/C power, but not for long. Up, the trans w/ a VB upgrade, Trans cooler, and high stall torque converter and you will be fine. A max w/ a VB upgrade will still be slower then a 5 speed. They have better gearing then we do but w/ the VB, we shift faster. Autos just wont be beat as bad.
