Interested in another Hella Supertone deal?

Update: Wednesday, 2/19/03

The first 9 people below should have already received their tracking info. Those that do not have (pd) beside their names means i'm still waiting for your payment. Also, there are two people who submitted payment but without giving me their .Org username so LMK if i've put you in the wrong list.

- maximaman777 (pd)
- mtrai760 (pd)
- 99maxi (pd)
- ][35 (pd)
- DanNY (pd)
- hacim105 (pd)
- mrb23 (pd)
- MAXimumHP (pd)
- MAXIN (pd)

- MajorMax96SE
- Sean97SE
- spanishrice
- CobraMax
- clipse
- Mr.max420

Note: Just for reference, those on the list that fails to submit their payment within 2 weeks will forfeit their spot, it will then be given to the next one in line. It's just fair that way

LMK.
Thanks,

- Mike

I'm interested in them if they are easy to install and I live in houston, do I really have to pay tax. Can I come to the shop to pick them up or something like that?

Well, i won't charge you shipping but by law i have to charge tax. When all i said and done it should come out the same price. Installation-wise, it shouldn't be that hard. I've only seen instructions for 5th gens and it's very straight forward. I'm just assuming that it would be the same for 4th gens.

Not off the top of my head. However, this thread has some good info posted by other members. Additionally, the kit includes a wiring diagram which should also help with installation. Since it's a universal horn kit i would assume that it would fit fine on an I35.

How loud are these really? Are they as loud as air horns? I was thinking about getting dual or even triple air horns.

Not to sound biased or anything, but i definitely think they are louder than the OEM horns. Not so sure about comparing them to air horns though.

When Tan (Tanman) came over the other week so i could take video clips of the horns, i got startled everytime he tapped the steering wheel. I never got that out of the OEM's. And this was inspite of the fact that he only had one of the horns facing forward (the other one was facing towards the engine bay since he was missing a bolt and had something to do with how his S/C was installed).

I could get those clips up for people to listen to but on video they sound dinky. Not as dinky as the OEM's, but unless you hear it in person the video clip will just make you yawn.

I was thinking that these horns were sevral times as loud as the OEM horn; otherwise, what is the point of having them? I would only be interested if I were certain that these things could peel the paint off the car in front of me. Please advise.

They are louder, that much i can tell you. Also they have a different tone. For the lack of a better term i'd say they sound more "Manly" then the OEM horns.

Since hearing is relative i can't say much more than that other than to either try it yourself or find a friend or anyone who has them.

Of the 20+ i've sold here on the .Org i haven't gotten any complaints yet and the consensus is unanimous - they are loud.

Hey soundmike I'm down for the group-deal for these. I didn't get a chance to catch the last one. Hopefully we can get this group-deal established. Couple of ?'s though:
-Will fit on a 2003 Maxima with no problems whatsoever right???
-Will be a direct plug-n-play installation???
-Do you accept money orders as a form of payment???
-Will it be $65 shipped just like the last group-deal???
Sorry for all the ?'s.

Haha...see mike, all the local guys heard 'em, and now they want them too!

All I can say is that I love them. I installed them without the relay, and they have been working fine. It's nice and loud, and a distinctly "european" tone...

2kSeattleMax, for now i take CC payments via Paypal and Check/M.O.'s.
clipse, They fit on the 2k2's so i'm sure they'll fit on the 2k3's. They're a direct fit but depending on how you want to install them (with or without relay) they can be plug 'n play or not.

If i get the minimum number of people to join in then yes the price will be at $65 shipped (US mainland, Taxes for TX residents, No s/h charges w/in the Houston area). No need to apologize for the questions

Patrick, you're the man

The moment i get a minimum of 10 the deal starts. Depending on availability at the warehouse it will take roughly 1 business week before i will start accepting payments. Then on, depending on location it will take 3-5 business days for delivery.

I've said it once, i'll say it again. Don't apologize for asking questions

clipse,
- The deal has started. I updated the first post, check it out for more information.
- What i meant was if you use the relay then you'll have to do some wire splicing and figuring out where to put that relay. Otherwise it's out with the old, in with the new. Additionally, some people here have opted to running new wires as opposed to using the stock one's.
- The relay is included but it's up to you on whether or not you want to use it.

MAXIN,
- That's $65 shipped. Same price as the last deal.

][ 35 ,
for now i take CC payments via Paypal and Check/M.O.'s.

The first deal was at $60, you're correct. However, the warehouse no longer stocks these so i have to get it directly from Hella. As such i get charged a hefty shipping/handling fee for it.

The second deal was at $65 though.

99maxi, i'll start collecting payment once the products arrive.

clipse,
- Yes. Shipped.
- Read above

To everyone else, as i mentioned above, i will start accepting payments once the horns arrive. Alternatively, to those who would rather pay via Money Order/Check i'll give out the info. approximately 4 days before the items are scheduled to arrive so there's a reasonable time for your payment to get here and you won't have to wait as long.

All times are GMT -7. The time now is 12:21 AM.
