xsp00kyx, i have a video clip i took of Tanman's car but that got lost in my drive crash
I'll see if i can find someone else in Houston that has the Supertones installed and record that.
I have to warn you though, video/audio recordings doesn't do it justice. When i recorded Tan's installation it definitely was not as loud as when i heard it in person. May have something to do with the frequency range on the mic's of Video camera's.
MAXIN, Thanks for the kind words and the links
Sean97SE, No pressure or anything, but I can wait if you want me to. There's no rush, i already got both batches of Hella's come in and got a couple extra's. Just let me know
To those who e-mailed/PM'd me, I just got my other machine working so expect my responses to your questions sometime today. Got a *huge* backlog of e-mails to respond to.
Thanks

yup- OE horn is out. The relay is included in the Supertone, run the relay as you would directly replacing the factory horn.

could someone post or send me the diagram they give you with the horn. I have lost mine and I don't know which wire goes to which slot. thanks. Or just tell me like the ground wire goes to number 30 slot, the signal goes to 98, etc.

Disconnect the earth lead of the battery while wiring the horns!
Wiring Diagram 1 - Switching option
Horn push negatively connected to existing horn
Battery + to 30 in relay. Hella's to 87. 85 to + line on existing horn. 86 to switch. Switch to horn and steering wheel.
Horn push positively connected to existing horn
Similar to above, except you loop back 85 to the relay.
Wiring Diagram 2 - Replacement option
Horn push negatively connected to existing horn
Battery + to 30 in relay. Hella's to 87. Remove existing horn and connect 85 to the + of that line where the old horn was. 86 to steering wheel.
Horn positively connected to existing horn
Similar to above, except you loop back 85 to the relay.
That's my understanding of the diagram. Hopefully others will chime in and correct my info.

Doesn't it say one of the wires from the relay is ground? If 86 goes to steering wheel then I'm guessing then that the line from the relay to the steering wheel would actually be connecting to the original connectors and 85 would be ground.

The gold connector on the horn is negitive/ground. With wire and some connectors from RadioShack attach that lead to the bracket to ground it then run the silver tab (positive) to the 87 of the relay. And 85 gets routed back to the relay.
all this wiring this are giving me a headache.... i don't know anything about wiring and trying to learn.... where would be a good site to learn the basic of wiring......i'm still trying to install the horn
i'm also trying to wire my radar to wires in my map light or visor light but having no luck so far... i suck at wires...

If 86 connects to steering wheel, where does the steering wheel wire come out to connect to? How do I connect a wire to it when I don't even know where it is?
From what I understand of the write ups i've read.
30 goes to battery
87 goes to ground
85 goes to old signal connectors
86 goes to hella's
am I correct?

Sorry I was wrong. But I still don't understand why you would ground a relay.
According to what Polo has said this is how it's done.
Wiring Diagram 2 - Replacement option
Horn push negatively connected to existing horn
Battery + to 30 in relay. Hella's to 87. Remove existing horn and connect 85 to the + of that line where the old horn was. 86 to steering wheel.
Horn positively connected to existing horn <--this is the one we do.
Similar to above, except you loop back 85 to the relay.
30 goes to battery or other constant.
85 goes to steering ie. old power leads for horns. I would think you would jump them together into 85.
86 goes to ground.
87 goes to horn (silver lead) split the wire from 87 and run one wire to each horn.
Then run the gold lead on horn to the horn bracket to ground it.
If you have any more questions ask Polo he seems to know what he's doing.
I just swapped the horns and left the stock wiring with out the new relay and I don't have any problems. Their plenty loud but I may tinker with it again sometime.
