Hey, I'm finalizing my suspension plans to upgrade my 97 i30 and am getting the Stillen strut supports and rear sway bar and Tokiko shocks - however what springs do I want? I've heard Eibach isn't the best brand, any input? What else is there?

There are H&R's, Intrax, Suspension Techniques, Sprint. I have the H&R's, and I really like them. They lower the car about 1.5", and the ride is very nice. It is a stiff ride, great handling, but not too harsh. Out of all of them, I think that they are some of the best for coming closest to matching OEM ride, but giving you a great sporty ride (from what I have hear from a lot of people). Also, have you looked into the Koni struts? I understand that they are a better strut than the Tokicos, and last longer (just some of the general impressions I've heard). That is what I am looking at getting. Good luck!

i have maxspeed in my 99 gxe. 1.5 f and 1.3 rear, i cut mine an extra coil for the front and rear. i'm glad that i had em cut, because, the first time i installed them, they seemed high like nothing happened and ride was bumpy, then i took em off and cut 1 coil only, the ride got better and handles good, and of course looks real tight. keep your original shocks, unless you have lots of miles on your car already, stock shocks are tokicos anyway.

Lets not forget some obscure springs->

Sprint http://www.sprintspring.com
Apex http://www.apexsuspension.com
Arospeed http://www.arospeed.com
Progress Group http://www.progressauto.com
B+G (B and G) http://www.b-gsuspension.com

These two company has/had springs for the maxima, but I haven't heard anyone that has them.

Has anyone tried Weapon-R's coilovers? They are only $300, but I don't know anything about them. Just curious.

I like my progress springs. Good ride and they lower a pretty large amount.

I have Suspension Techs and like them. You will also find that most folks are going to suggest the ones that are on their own cars. I'd suggest you decide how much of a drop you want and then shop for price.
