300zx Engine in a 86 Max

I am about to purchase a 86 Maxima SE for DIRT CHEAP. The only thing I know is that it needs a new clutch. I have a VG30DE (90-96 N/A 300zx Engine) that is about to arrive at my house free of charge. I was just wondering if it will fit. I know the max is front wheel drive and the Z is Rear wheel drive, but will the engine mate with the tranny. Other than that is there anything else I will need like an ECU or anything. Thanks for all your responses in advance.

No No No. You can't fit a DOHC engine in. There simply isn't enough clearance for the heads. You can get the bottom end in, but the head will be bashing against the radiator and the firewall. You can probably make it fit with a bunch of mods, but you really don't want to be screwing with the firewall. :P
