Interests in the Hornet 2way alarm/remote start....

As the other two group deals for the 550ESP, and 790Xv are still going well, I would also like to offer the Hornet 554T. It has the 2 way features like the 790, but also displays temp, and time and is a slightly smaller remote.

Please post any interests on this here and I will try to offer the best price gauged on the amount of people. This will be cheaper for than the 790 !

Details here:

So far so good. Keep it coming and I can guarantee to be at least $100 less than the 790 Responder.

The 550 and 790 are already on group deal pricing of $299, and $499 installed. I am gauging interest in these to better figure a price.

The remote start for the 5-speed can be setup, but you have to do the final steps. I am not allowed to connect to a 5-speed. It will start the car when it falls below or above a set temp. Or you can just remote start it if you dont like the temp it is at. Manual or auto controls.....doesnt matter, whatever you leave it at is what it will be at when you start it.

warranty

Don,

For those of us that live too far from you, these unit comes with a one year warranty even if it is self install right? I can't find that much info that that web site so can you post the features here. I understand it is very similar to the 790. Does it have a trunk release and does the progressive door lock work on the 5th gen? I read somewhere that the Hornet uses AM vs FM freq for the remote so the range is shorter. Is it true? Sorry about all of this questions. Thanks.

In my experience I have never seen a problem with the range quality, although it does depend on how far you are, as well as whats around you that any alarm could have a proble reaching.

I will try to pick one of these up today or Monday and take a first come/first served customer as a test car for feedback at a discounted rate. Although I still havent determined a definate price yet.

Thats why I said to email me, the first person will get a discounted price. Obviously I dont wanna share that price as they are gonna be the reviewer of it, and have to post pros/cons.

yup, I'll race u to see who's 5 speed max starts up faster

remote start...what would i do without thee...
these cold winter mornings nature brings upon me...
u save thee from going crazy...
trying to sit in a car where my body temperature is holding barely...
the thrill of dressing up, putting my shoes on...
eating breakfast and when i'm ready to go out, my car is already warm...
scaring people from a distance
this very instance
my baby comes alive, no need for me to sit in it, needs no assistance...
as i approach it, i'm amazed, maxima's are a great singer...
singing sweet melodies from its ****, no doubt my car's a winner...
and to think, all this done by the press done with two fingers...

yaw didnt know i was a maxima poet

Have you determined a price yet?

Also, since its AM, does the 2way transmitter alert you when you are going out of range (a signal bar)?

Same question for the 790XV...

Thanx

i know with the 790, if u r out of range and you try to do something to car (unlock, remote start, etc.) it alerts you with an antenna picture at top left and beeps like 4 times showing it wasnt able to send....

not sure how hornet works since i dont have it...

Cool, but does it alert you on its own when you are out of range? If not, that sux.
