Gauging Interest for GB on Axis Wheels

I am looking into setting up a group buy for any Axis Wheel product. I have no pricing info as of yet but am going to meet someone (good friend) who knows the owner of Axis wheels sometime this week. If there is interest I will go farther and get some pricing. This will be rims only no rubber. So let me know if you are interested. I am a regular here at the .org and this will be th first time that I will be doing something like this. So please be patient with me....thanks for looking.
go here for a look at their rims

Ask me how serious is this GB? check out my bud's visit to Axis (he tagged along with his good friend who is the Canadian Distributor for Axis wheels)...he is also the one that is going to help me with the deals...What a cool guy! So, next thing for me to do is talk pricing and see what he comes up with...MAN when they were down there they got the Suburu for one full day to terrorize the streets with! And more pics to come, you should see the 350Z and the Axis Trucks!! Go here to view some pics...and that Q45 is only one of many cars the owner of Axis has!

i'm 100% down....if you're starting a list, then put my name up ther, given the price is right, warranty issues are good (such as a bent wheel upon arrival could be returned free of charge and exchanged)

BUT I'M IN!!

just an update...my bud is still in california on a business trip (meeting with AXIS, just found out he's been given the Axis Subaru for the week, what a lucky AZZ!)...we were throwing around some #'s but can anyone here find me some smoking deals on Axis wheels (links) so that I can see what the going price is? Remember this is only for the rims...NO RUBBER included...thanks for your patience. Harry.

www.wheelmax.com seems to have the best prices on axis wheels on the net. but i've heard rumors of their customer service not being up to par. like if a rim is bent, you have to pay to ship it back and pay again to ahve the new one shipped back. that alone bothers me.
if he can beat those prices and offer a guarantee of the rim not being bent, and if it is bent, to cover the shipping costs of returning and getting a new, then that's be customer service i'd respect. if he can't do all that, then at least beat their prices by a good amount. if he can do that, you can count me 100% on the deal.

DO IT!!! DO IT!!!!

yeah, BUT, customer service isn't up to par. again, if you get a messed up wheel, it's like gambling. you know hwo most of these UPS/FEDEX guys treat things. you end up paying so much more because of return shipping and etc....

if anything, all your friend would have to do is REALLY REALLY do a good job of packing up the wheels so that there is not chance they'll get bent, then he'd have nothing to worry about.

that, and beat wheelmax's prices, which are good enough as it is.

the name that they told me was **** (I think). I personally haven't met him, but I can assure you that my two friends know the owner. They have video from their last visit in the warehouse and driving Axis's suburu wrx around town. In fact they are there right now as we speak.

weights...no i never looked into that. I have pulled off prices from wheelmax and spyengineering to see what kind of deal i'll be getting. Plus i am looking into if Axis wheels can ship the wheels direct or not. Well, my friends should be back next week. By then i'll have some numbers for everyone.

Well, my friends got back yesterday, and I'll be hitting them up for pricing. I also just found out that it wasn't the owner of Axis wheels they went to visit but one of Axis's salesman...so my bad about that reference.

Later,
Harry.

getting price lists today or tomorrow...i don't know if this will be good for the americans since i am in Canada and you will have to not only pay for shipping but you'll most likely have to pay all the border taxes also...i am looking into it to see if Axis can ship direct to the customer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
