auto shifter is loose

auto shifter is loose

when i put my car in drive the shifter is loose. up and down, wobbly. How do I tighten it?

When your on Drive the shifter will alow you to shift to neutral without depressing the button. Is this what might be giving you the inpression of looseness??

I know. the car is still in drive and i can move the shifter up and down. all im saying is that it is very wobbly.

Hmm, if you have a leather-wrapped shifter it probably broke somewhere on the inside, mine did and it was really wiggly, so I replaced it with a rubber one, I assume the ones that come in the GXE's.
