Frankencar intake install, need help

I just got my intake in the mail today(bought it off the forums) and I can figure out the one piece that looks like the throttle body. It has the mid pipe, and the filter, but there is one small piece with 4 holes. Can someone tell me where this goes? Does it go on first, and what? Thanks

That is the filter adapter...it goes on the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Goes on last. Your franken car didn't come with instructions?

Peace - Chad

1995 - 1999 Nissan Maxima / Infiniti I30 instructions

1) Disconnect your battery from the car (no need to remove it).
2) Disconnect the plug that plugs into the mass air flow “MAF” sensor (should be a gray plug)
3) Locate the stock air box. Remove all the bolts that connect this air box to the body of your car.
4) Locate 3 hoses that come off the stock resonator box (should be right before stock air box / after throttle body). Loosen the clamps and remove these hoses.
5) Loosen hose clamp that connects accordion tube to the throttle body.
6) You should now be able to take out the complete, stock, air intake system.
7) Remove the mass air flow sensor from the resonator box (note: this will be tough to do, it will, however come out. Just take off the hose clamp, and work your way around, pulling the MAF out a little more. )
8) Attach the mid pipe to the throttle body (don’t tighten any clamps until you are sure of the fitment. Also, the side of the mid pipe with the two tubes, smaller tube on top, should be pointing towards the rear of the car).
9) Attach the MAF to the end of the mid pipe after attaching the rubber coupler to it.
10) Attach the filter to the MAF using your stock MAF screws and the supplied MAF adapter plate.
11) After you are sure of the fitment, you may now tighten all the clamps. Remember not to over tighten, but be sure the fit is secure.
12) Replace the bigger hose (located on the side with the two tubes) with the supplied hose, using hose clamps on both ends.
13) Re-attach all the hoses you took off (there will be one hose not attached, but it was never attached, even when the car came from factory). It also helps fitment if you take the stock Crankcase Breather line hose and swap it end for end.
14) Plug the gray plug back into the MAF.
15) Double check ALL your connections, check for leaks, anything.
16) Start your car, wait a few minutes, and go for a test drive. Yes there will be added sound, but only under full throttle.
17) Enjoy!

*Note of 95-96 Maximas there is an air temperature sensor that will need to be placed near the fitler element. A zip tie or twist tie or other similiar device will work. it just need to be close. Also other year maximas might have an additional sensor also zip tie this near the filter element and keep them plugged in.
