i beat a turbo eclipse???
last night me n my boy y2ksesteve were ridin around in my max and this fools in a sooped up new eclipse..intake, exhasut, stock turbo...they followed us out of the gas station and pulled up next to me to race and so i waited for them to go and then floored it and beat the crap out of em..is that a legit win or was he a bad driver??

I have beat two GS-T's, stock vs stock. Problem is that with factory forced induction you will have to spend twice as much to keep up once they start modifying.
Peak hp is about as meaningfull as hp per liter. The max may have less peak hp, but the hp and torque curve are better throughout the RPM range.

Oh so this eclipse WASN'T a dsm? That's a good kill. but if it was a dsm 2nd gen or 1st gen with intake and exhaust, that would be impossible cause that alone can take them down the 1/4 in the 13second range if launched well.

Hey,
I had a 98 Eclipse GST Spyder that got stolen before i bought the max. I will honestly say, my eclipse that was completely stock with the stock turbo is much faster then a 4th gen max, and I also beat plenty of 5th gen max's. So my guess is that he did not know how to drive or shift.

Sorry, OT, but...
How do you define DSM? I always thought DSM was another word for Mitsubishi (Diamond-Star Motors)... hence all Mitsubishis are DSMs, he||, lots of Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth/Eagles are DSMs for that matter.
