I know of a few places that sell used rims (in good condition) and are a lot cheaper than getting new from Nissan or new aftermarket, but I can't find old maxima rims anywhere. I'm sure there is some kind of auction area on this site (sorry admins) but i'm just curious where I can hunt down some 16" rims for my 98?? BTW - i've tried some boneyards too , with no luck. I'm kinda sick of my 15" wheel covers.

Try looking on ebaymotors. There are a lot of rims for Maxima for sale. Anything from SE rims to GXE rims.

those 16inch rims will not be cheap....i've tried searching and they all want close to $800 without the tires.....
i guess it's the economics...shortage of 16inch SE rims....and alot of people want'em on their cars...

Good Luck

Have fun looking for those rims and I wish you good fortune, but I know that I was going to sell my factory rims until a dealer friend of mine told me that from the factory they have to pay $500 each for the rims w/o tires. From that day forward I decided to hold on to mine just with the small possibility that I may need them in the future.

But use the above suggestions and look on ebay...I've seen some there before.

Sheeit, you can get 300ZX rims for under $300 if you look in on TT.net for a while.
just keep an eye out for people who got new rims and are looking to dump their stock ones.

also check the local used tire places. there's one here in town that had some 2000SE rims, but they wanter $150 each for them..
used 3rd gen rims were about $50 each in good shape.
