SE, GXE, & GLE. Can any1 explain pleaze...?
Those are the trim levels available on the 4th and 5th gen Maximas.
GXE - base model
5spd standard optional auto
optional electric seats, intermittent wipers, etc...
SE - sporty model
firmer suspension, bigger rims in some cases
5spd standard optional auto
interior and exterior trim differences
GLE - luxury model
auto tranny standrad
leather seats standard
BOSE standard
Those are the main differences, there are many many more trim, option and equipment differences. You get the idea...

I think what everyone is trying to say is that these are not acronyms. Meaning that the letters don't stand for anything. If they did at one time, the meaning has been lost.
All car mfrs use some kind of letters to differentiate between trim levels but I believe the letters are chosen to reflect the mood the marketing people are trying to create. For example, letters like GT, SE, and SS conjure up feelings of sportiness and performance while letters like LE, XLE, GLE lend an air of luxury and comfort.
This is a case of 'word' association since over the years cars with these designations have fit these descriptions.
