New Front Wheel Bearings

New Front Wheel Bearings
So over the past few months I've noticed a front end noise that had gotten louder over time. Road speed related, so tires, bearings, or trans (cvt).
The other day I played around with engine rpm's on the highway and the sound remained constant, not cvt. I rotated the tires front to rear, still there, not tires. So down to wheel bearings.
I had Monday off, called Nissan, explained what I found, he confirmed if the wheel bearings that it was covered on the powertrain warranty (6/60), asked if I could bring it in he said sure long as I leave it.
Dropped it off, explained that I was glad that it most likely was not cvt related and he said the have had little issues with Maxima's, mostly Altima's.
He called couple hours later said it needed two front wheel bearings be a couple of hours he'd called when done.
Picked it up, no charge, rides quiet as a mouse, happy again.
My first experience with Nissan service and I have to say I was impressed.

My front right went 10/13, and it went again very recently. I had it serviced under the warranty the first time, but I'm over 60k so I just bought a Moog bearing. Simple job, somewhat straight forward. But it seems messed up that I'm replacing it again and my car is 3 years old. Im not a fan of Nissan parts. My '95, '96, and '97 never had any problems like this ever. They don't make them like they used to.

Nissan does not make bearings, NSK/SKF do. Additionally the wheel size is way up from your '95. One good pothole and out goes the bearing.
Btw, 7th gen uses hub bearings, which are a breeze to replace compared to '95 which used regular bearings in front and were a bear to replace, since you had to press them out. I have done a few of them on my dad's 97.
So yeah, they don't make them like they used to.
btw, new timken front bearing is $75, diy ftw.
