Question about a radiator im going to buy

I am about to buy a stock radiator online. It says for manual or auto. I have a manual trans. so the guy said just don't connect the oil lines to the radiator. so since i won't use the oil part, is that area designed for cooling tranny oil going to take up my coolent space? I don't want to buy a whole radiator and only get to use half of it. how does this work?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I thought they were interchangeable...just on the manual you cap off the tranny cooler inlet/outlet.

Oh yeah, you *can use them interchangably the guy said, but i want my maxima to stay as cool as posible, so i don't want to loose anymore cooling space than i can. So by using a radiator for auto, will i be sacrificing my cooling space to accomidate the tranny oil cooler. It's a hard question to put into words . hopefully someone understands what i mean. Thanks though.

To answer your question

No, the trans cooler portion will not take up any cooling space in your radiator. You are good to go.
