My box from Courtesy Nissan arrived today and I got what is listed on the invoice as "Ventilator". Its simply the vent pieces, nothing more, no radio trim whatsoever. Shouldn't it all have been one piece?

If anyone has a pic of the stock stereo in a GXE it would be much appreciated.

In an effort to entertain myself I am posting what I sent to Courtesy after talking to them.

They sent me the following insane diagram (I'd post it here but it is over 2k pixels tall, it is 84k).

I replied to them and sent them this pic. I wonder if they can figure it out.

Hey Punkdork, I got my install kit from Crutchfield and it fits correctly. The only thing from that kit is that the whole kit is black. I think I paid like 17 bucks for it.

So if its all black it doesn't fit the color scheme of the dash or does it look ok? Do you have any pics?

It looks good actually, if I'm not mistaken the GXE kit is all black also. I will try to get some pics for you. Let me see if I can get my hands on a digital camera.

Pioneer has posted a pic of his kit. He got the nissan part from the GXE. Check out the pic below.

Now that I look at it again, it looks like it is definately one piece. I think Courtesy f'ed it up on this one.

Topping in hopes to catch Pioneer's eye. Man courtesy is clueless on this one. I'm losing faith.

I'm thinking 'bout a Kenwood MP3/CD that i saw in crutchfield, but wasn't sure how their kit would look - don't wanna screw up that beautiful dash! :-) could you post a pic of the crutchfield kit? how's it look? how do the plastics match?

thanx,

brian

I'd like to see a pic of the crutchfield kit too. I may have to just stick this one back to Courtesy for a full refund and buy the Crutchfield since maybe their heads won't be quite sooo far up their @sses.

In case anyone is following this, I got email back from Courtesy it turns out they did ship me the wrong (and cheaper) part. They want $80 for the gxe assembly. I didn't feel like going through that hoop so I'm returning what they did send me.

I went to crutcfield and emailed them and asked them if they had a pic of their kit. They don't but they did give me all the part numbers I would need and for $29 I got the kit, the wire harness and the antenna adapter. I got free shipping and I may get $25 off. See this website for details.

I'll post pics of the crutchfield kit when I get it.
