Theft deterent design on '04 Max headlamps?

Theft deterent design on '04 Max headlamps?

Sure looks like Nissan took some design time to protect the headlamps. There is no way somebody is going to cut the tabs on these ones. Are those metal?

I wonder what the sticker says? "Warning headlamps will be destroyed if removed." J/K. And Nissan doesn't think there is a problem with the current design?
