Always finding something on this car that isn't quite right....
It finally stopped raining in upstate NY long enough for me to replace the dying starter on my 97 max. As I was putting the air intake back together, I discovered this little guy, that I know I've never disconnected:



Any idea where that's supposed to go?

Thats just a relay of some sort. Its usually taped up by the knock sensor sub harness.

Yea, it was tucked underneath and hidden away til I pulled the entire air intake system out to give myself room to do the starter. So I can just leave it alone?

I think it is the capacitor for the ignition coils and should to be mounted on the post that is behind the red & black wires.

That's what I was wondering, but I didn't want to take the chance of breaking it by forcing it on there.
