I went to start my car this morning at about 6:30 (around 32 deg.) here are the attempts

1) cranks, slightly hesitant and then shuts off
2) cranks, doesn't start, it starts to squeel (like a pig)

i've very perturbed at this point

3) cranks, i give it a little gas during the crank, and it squeels
4) cranks, and then it squeels

and then on number 5 i give it some hardcore gas and it starts

now, i haven't had a problem with my alternator, thats not a battery problem nor is it a starter problem ... I also haven't had any codes in like 8,000 miles ( kiss of death ) ... the only thing I could think of it being is the fuel pump but i'm not sure ... anyone wanna take a crack at it

 

trip the CEL and see if it gives ya anything.

i got the same problem and ive lived with it for 3 months now. oh did i mention i replaced ECTS, Knocksensor, Fuel Filter twice, TB cleaned and more. try those, nothing else check crank sensors.
