ECU code 0901
ECU code 0901
ECU code 0901
My Check engine light came on a wile back so today, I checked the ECU. The codes came back -9-slow & -1- fast, = Front Right Htd 02 Sensor. I check it a few times to make sure I got the code right, any one have any ideas as to were this is and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Chuck

I couldn't find that code but if it is for the o2 sensor then you could use a multimeter to find out if the sensor is shot or if it is the connector. By backprobing the sensor, inserting a small pin into the back of the connector that corresponds to the desoired wire, you can test the voltage of the circuit without damaging any of the components. The voltage for the sensor should read between 100 to 900 mV, if its an upstream sensor (which i am assuming the upper right referes to) then it will actively switch between high and low readings. A downstream sensor will have the same range but will not fluctate. The o2 sensor should be tested when the car is in closed loop (after warm up) and the resistance of the sensor heater should be 3 to 1000 ohms for 93-94, 2.3 to 4.3 ohms upstream 5.2 ohms downstream for 95-96, and 97+ 2.3 to 4.3 ohms. If the sensor is out of spec then it must be replaced. Hope this helps (sorry so long)

By clicking on one of the stickies above in the 4th Gen Forum, you can easily diagnose this problem....
By the way, it is your right front heated O2 sensor.
