I don't know of any exhaust that stillen has for the 3rd gen maxes. Unless they are refering to the greddy cat back that is available. In the catalog they also note that aluminum flywheels are only available for manual transmission models due to the fact that the flywheel is some sort of cover for the torque converter??? (i don't quite get this one, I'm just relaying what is in the catalog.

So if I have port and polished heads, does that mean I'm at Stage 7?

Nope, if you skip a stage you have the last stage completed, then a "+". Say you have an intake and an ECU but no exhaust you're stage 1+.

oh, that's stupid.. Forget stages.. I'd be up near stage 10 haha but I don't have an ECU or ignition upgrade so I'm at stage 2.

That stage crap isnt right. The ECU should be the last of your mods to get. Not the 3rd. Then you cant take advantage of all the mods after it.

things that you have to consider

When they talk about HP gain they are taking about peak hp. not the overall gain in the area under the curve. Also the JWT ecu is not that optimized for the use in our cars. It runs rich at the top end to aviod risks of detonation. The NOS system that stillen sells is JWT's unit with the add on NOS controller chip. I believe that this chip has an optomized fuel map for use with NOS.

i will agree and say that the ecu is not optomized, but JWT will do custom tuning. It just comes at a price. They also have a ecu for use with turbos for the VG30ET. This can be applied to the maxima.

I think that there is a lot of unexplored potential of this engine. well not unexplored --- unutilized..
