Listen to this...

A guy i know who just bought a new Jetta told me my car is **** and his will beat mine.

His car is setup like this: 1.8litre Turbo 5spd with the 17" rims and heavy duty suspension. My car is 7 years old and an auot matic. I have a PLCAI and a Stillen exhaust. My car is lowered with H&R and I have front and Rear tie bars. Now he seems to think not only can he beat me, but he can KILL me in the straight line and the twisties. I did some research and found that 0-60 in that model is 7.6 if he has the standard 15" rims. He has 17's so I would bet he is at about 7.8 or so. Now I know my car can run that stock. So whould I tell this guy to shove it up his a$$? I mean..the car is a ***** car to begin with...chicks drive those things for the most part....I don't know...just don't really like this guy..such a *****!

Only one way to find out: RACE HIM! However, I wouldn't underestimate his car. You never know what else he might have in there that he don't want you to know. I got an automatic too, but even with an automatic, I don't care who it is, I still race him/her. You win some, you lose some. It's just the fun that counts.

cumalot.

Well I know he has nothing else in it at all. It has 500 miles on it and I had a look at the engine and the underside and there is no intake/exhaust at all. I know he is to cheap to 'chip it' as well.

So...his 1.8 Turbo does 0-60 in 7.8-9 with 17" rims and a 5spd. My car does the same thing with an Auto, stock. I added PLCAI and Stillen Exhaust, lowered it and added strut bars in the front and rear.

Now you tell me...I bet it comes down to the driver in this case. My point is that his car is not going to beat me at all. I bet its a tie or I am ahead a bit. Point it this...my car is 7 years old and his is 2 months. Yet he says his car is better? Well it sure as hell better be if its 7 years newer!!! Truth be told, its only equal to my 7 year old car.....

Well, if that's all he have under there, I'm sure you can beat him. I never raced one of those before, but people did tell me to watch out for them Passat VR6 models. Good luck!
