350Z dead pedal

Alright I know this has been asked a million times, but since I can't SEARCH, i have to post =(.

HTF am I supposed to get this thing on? It just arrived and it's attached to a black plastic mount. Do I just remove the metal part from the black plastic and screw it directly over my old rubber pedal? Please advise.

Thx.

Pics would help too.

Or linky to another thread.

Thanks tons guys !

Man was that a pain in the A$$!

It took me forever to get through that thing with a dremel. I didn't have a hacksaw. The plastic kept melting onto my cutting disc and I accidentally put a few gouges in the metal. Fortunately though, after some sanding and polishing, it came right out.

Love the way it looks, but a pedal install that takes over an hour!?! hehe

I've never had much luck cutting plastic with a power tool - it just melts. I ended up scoring it over and over with an exacto knife and did it that way. I was minus one hack saw as well Only took me about 20 minutes to cut it though.
