Bad night at the track

I haven't been to the track in nearly a year, and this is the first time with the VI. I went with good intentions but didn't get anywhere near the 14.7 or faster that I had hoped for. Before the first run when I was going through the water box some idiot spectator stepped onto the track right before I was going to spin the water off the tires. So I didn't burn out until right before the stage lights which put me out infront of them a few feet, I went to restage and as I was backing up when I tripped the lights the tree lit up while my car was in reverse. I slammed the thing in first and hammered the gas, I got no wheel spin in first and ended up with a 15.87 @ 91 on the second run I still didn't stage well but I got to bring the RPM up for a better launch or at least thats what I had hoped, I brought the RPM up way to high at like 3k and then proceded to dump the clutch, This was not smart. The RPMs jumped to redline and stayed there through second as my clutch slipped. I got a 15.40 @ 91 on that run, and then I parked the car because I was afraid it wouldn't take another run.

Were you running slicks?

If not, stay out of the water box.

with the way this track is set up you have to drive though it on the right side of the track, on the left side I never went through it.

I didnt get in the 14's until i kept out of the burnout box. Many say a man tranny car should stay out of BB even with slicks ,they say just spin tires one or two revolutions on dry pavment.
