Budget Y pipe installed!! impressions

got my Budget Ypipe installed on thursday afternoon...im glad i didnt bother installing it myself cuz i wouldve jus broken my arms off tryin to get those nuts off...jeff(maximum tuning) just blow torched those suckers off
Car definately pulls harder, intake seems to scream to bit more =)
it has a nice deep throaty tone to it and makes my car sound mean when i rev it, but i dunno if i really like it cuz it makes the car sound like i havent been maintaining it(loud)...the car lags less, air flow has definately improved, and theres a nice pull thruout the entire RPM range and my VB mod is kickin in harder and im chirping 2nd more often...however i dunno if its given me 15 hp more...maybe i need to wait for my ECU to get adjusted so ill give it a couple of week, and i gotta reset it too, havent done that yet

Just one question...how loud is the sound change afterwurds?? my car is definately louder, it sounds like theres a bit of a vibration in the exhaust pipe(somwhere) during idle and it makes a bit of a "teeeennnn" noise...is that normal?
Overall, im impressed with it and im hoping it gives me more than it does already after a week or so

Disconnect your battery, that will reset your ECU

glad your happy with most of the results , i just bought a barly used one today from an org member, i have a few questions hopefully that u can answer

did your new y pipe come with any gaskets or was it just the pipe? mine dont seem to have any gaskets and im not sure where would i be able to find replacements,

where do u notice improvement , in low prm range or high?

how much does jeff charge to install it?

is the noise it makes really that bad , i do not want to sound like a ricer ?

thanks for any info

when you order from Budget they throw in gaskets....as for sounding "ricey"..nope, not at all. Your exhaust note changes a very very little bit if you are at the rear of your car, ..sounds like a burble. Ricers get that sound from their muffers

gains are in the mid-high RPM range for the most part, and the sound is not ricey at all...atleast not as far as i thought...deep does not equal ricey, loud farty popping buzzing sounds equal ricey or basically if your car sounds like its gonna fall apart
When they send it from budget it comes with gaskets, if you dont have gaskets im pretty sure you can get them from a nissan dealer, just ask for Ypipe gaskets
Jeff charges 60 bux for the install, and yes some of the bolts are an arm and half to crack off, jeff used a blowtorch...it'll be a tough install if you dont have a good jack or ramps and also you will need the help of a friend to hold the pipe while you screw the bolts on...good luck to you if you decide to install it yourself, its a do-able job
as for the ECU reset, ill jus do it from going down under the steering column by the pedal and turning the little screw cuz i wanna check if i still have any codes poppin up
