As far as sound, there is no blow-off valve like no blow-off valve. I don't like my competition to know I'm boosted.

It probably is, and if so, that IS really loud.

make it even louder by putting a horn on there.

Sound level can be increased by creating a custom horn similar to the Blitz valve.

I thought the Greddy's were prone to leaking. I was gonna get one but after hearing some junk about leaks, I figured I'd put my money on a HKS. How long have you had yours for Ben?

it is. so I use it as a mechanical boost controller with the 2.87. I set it really loose and I am getting 10psi from the 2.87.

JAY25,

Is this the kind of Blitz BOV you had?

I really like the sound, but sometimes I think it's too quiet. You can hear it a little around 2000rpm, but it really comes alive around 3000rpm. But I always have to turn off/down the music. How does this compare to the HKS, Greddy, and new Blitz BOV's?

I think the RFL and most Turbo XS BOVs can be interchanged onto the Greddy flange too without re-welding using the adapter flange. so thats a plus if you want to switch up!

Hmm, my Blitz dual-drive was kind of quiet, I wouldn't be able to hear it from inside the cabin, just barely. The Greddy I can hear over my moderate music when its at a moderate level.

I was talking with guys at the local meet last weekend and they thought it was crazy how much air i was venting out at idle off the greddy bov. I tightened it to where no air leaked at idle, and you could barely hear it blow off after letting off at a upper rpm.

Noticeable differences: Car is more responsive, quieter, and idle is steady..

One thing they suggested I do was to vent the air from the bov after the maf..... There is a spot where my ambient air temp sensor should go, but mine doesnt fit. I'm considering jb welding a fitting there, and doing just what they suggested. Any opinions?

I can't hear my Blitz DD at all with the windows rolled up, even with the radio off. But I don't have a fancy horn like Craig does.

Heh, I have the same BOV as you Craig, and it sucks

It's only loud for me at super-high RPMs, and if you're moving (ie, not just revving it at a light or something), it's not loud enough to hear over the wind.

I might think differently when I change it to stick this summer but then again, I might just get a loud loud loud one too

I know what he was talking about, but if he has a Blitz DD, what other style is there? What's so fancy about my horn?

My Blitz DD came with an attachment that looks like this:
