brake cleaner and enamel paint... bad?

i just painted my calipers 2 days ago... the paint is definately dried. Can I use brake cleaner on it? Or will it strip that paint? It's high temprature enamel paint. I need to know, thanks!

I also used the High Temp Paint because of the gloss....it will "dull" the paint at first...and in a few weeks "2-3 more car washes/rim cleaner" the paint on the calipers will continue to fade. That has been my experience.

I was told not to use brake cleaner. There is a water based brake cleaner that is supposed to be fine. Also, I hit it with tire and rim cleaner and it left white streaks on the calipers, but I was able to get them off mostly.

If you need to clean it, I suggest a longer toothbrush and some regular car wash soap. The brake cleaner is a very corrosive liquid and will eat the paint right off, avoid at all costs....

Brake cleaner eats paint like a fat kid in a candy store...

If you want good paint that will not fade with high temps try Plasticoat paint... this stuff is awesome... When I built my motor on my old Malibu I painted the block Chev small block orange with black components (power steering pump, fuel lines etc), I used this Plasticoat spray paint... The motor is now 5+ years old, nothing has rusted under the paint and the best part is it still looks freshly painted, never dulled or faded! I have pics I'll scan and post...
