Pics from Texas meet

It was raining like hell, we had about 30 cars show up, including a brand spanking new 6th gen.. Seeing it in person made me sorta like it.

I really don't know about that sideways sunroof(s) on the 6th gen... They could have still put two, but going the regular way, or even better, retractable targa tops

I think the idea behind the sunroof was to get some open air and sunlight over your head, the lengthwise placement seems to avoid this??

Not to many 5th gens there either at the meet...

I have book marked it. I was going to meet up with you guy's around christams time when I believe someone was installing a supercharger, but the car wasn't running so it was called off, it may have even been you.

I am a Dallas native (plano) and ever since the mid 90's me and my friends would go out to Luna Rd, Northwest Highway, etc. on Saturday nights (when I had an eclipse.) Some of us started going out to park and coit to meet (I-35 and Luna is pretty far from Central Expressway '75') and it was close enough to get some safe races in along a clear section of the tollway frontage roads, do people still go out to coit and park?

I havn't been back to the races in a long time but oklahoma (where I go to school) has a pretty strong following for car meets on Saturday night which was surprising. There are about a 100 or so cars that come out to route 66(NW 39th) and I-240 (nothing compared to Dallas where I would see three to five times that) and some have some pretty wicked fast machines (mostly supras.)

I'll monitor the board and hopefully meet up with you guy's, I have only seen one Maxima in Dallas that was modified, I caught up with him and told him what an awesome car I thought the Maxima was, he asked if I was on the Org and that is how I came here, I look forward to meeting some other Maxima enthusiasts from my home town, I always get home sick when I watch these video's http://www.christurner.net/supra/

the 6th gen is so much different from the rest, I guess they tried to redesign it becuase the altima has been taking so much sales away from the max.

Same here. I saw my first one at the dealer yesterday. I love the rear end, but the front end and hood are so ugly. Interior is cheap looking and the gauges and front consoles are just strange. And that mohawk style sun roof? Wud up wid dat?

I agree the 6th gen Maxima is ugly! I just took a good look at one when I was at the dealer to pick up a part.
