Can i put a 2000-01 Clutch in a 97?

Does anyone know if the 97 and 2001 clutches are compatible? The nissan tech told me that i may want to look at it as a replacement of my stock clutch. I would look at an ACT but ive heard its a stiffer pedal, plus i have to put a new tranny in and $$$ isnt growing on trees. Thanks for any help.

I do know the 2000 and up clutch is stronger and 2 and 5 gear are stronger but otherwise i think 2000-2001 trannys are the same.

YUP, i need a new one, the gearing and final drive are gonna grenade soon... i know its at least $1000 for the tranny and i can get the stock clutch kit for 180, they wont charge me for install either on the clutch. I just wonder if i can put a 2001 clutch in my 97 if its stronger.
