Holy SH*T!!! I out ran a cop last nite!!! (long)

Do not EVER DO THIS or even ATTEMPT TO. IT was foolish and idiotic and could very well have cost my life or other innocent motorists or pedestrians. It was a spur of the moment reaction and I was VERY lucky to get away with my life and my freedom.

Man what a crazy night.
Last night around 2 or 3 AM, I was hauling *** on one of our local streets and I see a light turn yellow too late. I was already going 100 and there was no way I could brake in time. So I sorta slow down, but realize I won't make it so I downshift and floor it. Well guess who's making a left turn facing me. Mr. fiveoh . I blow by him going around 90-100 mph and I see him bust a U-turn in my rearview and turn on his sirens.
Well at this point I was already thorougly F'ed... maybe running a red, speeding over 100, evading a police officer, reckless driving etc etc.. So I just keep flooring it and rowing through the gears. The only thing I could think of was that if I got caught they would probably toss me in the slammer and impound my car.
So I did the only thing I could. I kept going. I hit about 140 and watched the cop's lights grow smaller and smaller in my rearview. I reacted purely by instinct and heel-toe downshifted while simultaneously trail braking into a right turn followed by a left that I had to yank the e-brake to clear.
At this point my brother, who had the misfortune of being in the car with me screamed "HOLY **** THATS SOME F'ING NICE DRIFTING!" Of course I was a bit preoccupied. I quickly flipped off my lights and pulled into the first parking space that I could find in the apartment complex we had found ourselves in.
We ditched the car and quickly walked across the street, where we called a friend for a ride.
I have learned a few things from this experience.
1. I'm NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN
2. Maximas F'ING RULE.
3. Take emergency driving courses
4. JIC suspension works as advertised
5. I might of killed someone/myself
Needless to say, the cop was probably pretty ****ed off. He basically had NO chance to catch me. I had already flown by him and continued flooring it after he pursued so it was basically do or die.
***TO ANY COPS READING THIS***
I'M SORRY!! I was STUPID. I realize how incredibly DANGEROUS that was. In general I respect the law and believe everyone else should as well. There was no way I could deal with jail, posting bail, impound, lawyers, and a $103581 in fines.

Man I still can't believe how dumb I was.
