B&M Tranny Cooler

Anyone use the B&M Hi-Tek Trans Coolers? Any impressions or appropriate comments welcome.

Deezo and I both have B&M coolers. They are available through Jeg's online, among other places. Make sure to get the one with the temperature bypass, and, for the faint of heart (lazy or without tools) the mounting (huh huh) kit. The cooler I have is rather large; I'm not sure on the dimensions anymore.

Ditto, they are great, well made, much more sturdy than the coil and fin type and the temp bypass is a bonus.

The Hi-Tek line is serious overkill for our cars unless you plan on towing a boat down the quarter mile. Just get the B&M SuperCooler 70255 and you'll be very happy.

I installed one on my 2000 Maxima and my Acura when I had it. I notice the difference mainly in 5pm traffic when it was hot. The car didn't seem to have problems shifting or long delay in shifts. It shifted right away with the cooler, without it was delayed or the tranny had a mind of its own and didn't want to shift or it did. Fluid getting hot probably caused that.

It was a more piece of mind mod than anything.

how long does it take to install? i ordered mine from jegs.com and its in the garage right now. this link http://www.greghome.com/Greg's%20Garage/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE/Xmission%20Cooler.htm shows it on a 4th gen, is there much difference between that and a 5th gen?

The idea? Too hot tranny at the track.
The best choice? Sat back and let you do the homework...hehehe.
I knew you'd research and pick the best choice - plus, SR20's got his nose under a hood most of the time.

So I've been spreading the gospel as well. I even use your link every now and them .. but I do give you credit...
