Hey,

My younger bro recently bought a 93 GXE and Im looking for a good recommendation on a suspension setup to drive around in NYC in, with a nice even drop (not slammed) and smooth/slighty stiff ride (no sagging rear please). What are my options? (please list the price if you know it).

The soft/bouncy/squeaky stock suspension has to go...

you can't go wrong with tokico struts for $300-350 a set and eibach springs for $200-250 a set. no sagging, nice and stiff, a bit lower, but not slammed.

 

lets switch suspension... give it to you for 460 everything.. and you give me your stock setup

Tokico shocks and eibach springs is the way to go in the city.

 

still i wanted it more stiffer.. since i am used to the sloppyness of my old suspension

 

You really can't go wrong with the Eibach/Tokiko set up. It really really a great bang for the buck!! I would highly recommend it. It will give you ride a "stocky" look and a firm yet still comfortable ride. A nice daily driver set up.

My current suspension set up
-KYB reds (adjustables) shocks and struts
-Eibach Pro-kit Springs
-Stillen front and rear anti-sway bars
-Stillen front strut bar

Looking to change out the Eibach springs for a 1.8-2 inch drop. Currently trying to sell my Eibachs. Anyways...what ever you do decide research what is out there and find out the pros and cons about each item. Once again the Eibach/Tokiko is a great set up...if I am not mistaken I believe that Tokiko offers a lifetime warranty. Either that or a great warranty. I forget already.

suspension techniques, i got them for around 180 i think, 1.5 drop. eibachs dont look like they really even have a drop

 

My eibach/kyb setup gave me 1 5/8 inches in the front and 1 3/16 inches in the rear. It may not sound like much but you can tell the car is much lower than it was when i started. The measurements where taken from the fender to the top of the rim. I cant get a finger in between the fender and the tire in the back. As for ride quality, you can't beat Eibach.
